Milk thistle seeds contain a rare biologically active substance silymarin, about 200 vitamins and macro elements: calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, manganese, copper, zinc, chrome, selenium, iodine, boron, etc., practically the whole range of vitamins A, D, F, E, K and B vitamins, especially valuable for the nervous system.
Milk thistle seeds have the property of restoring liver cells, are used in the treatment of hepatitis, cholelithiasis, cirrhosis, liver dystrophy, poisoning with poisons that disrupt the liver, alcoholism and the fight against its consequences. Silymarin restores cell membranes, enhancing their protective properties. Due to beneficial effects on the liver and its functions, milk thistle indirectly improves digestion, relieves many ailments associated with improper or inadequate liver function. Very positively, it affects relatively healthy people, clearing the liver of toxins.
Recommendations for use:
Grinded in a coffee grinder, seeds can be added to any dish (porridge, soup, baked goods, etc.), used as breading, etc.
Seeds are also used for toothache, with diarrhea (in the form of a decoction).
